The Brief

AutSupport is a coaching & mentoring business that supports families with autistic members.

The brief included logo design, a colour palette for use across digital assets, a cohesive typology, copy-writing, image curation and web-design.

The original logo brief given to Volar Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS) was a tree and rainbow reflecting in a pool of water.

We worked with the client to simplify this brief by suggesting a strong tree trunk with the leaves coloured by the spectrum of the rainbow to represent the autistic spectrum.

The resulting image of two trunks coming together as one signals the strength of support provided and AutSupport’s mission to walk alongside families as they navigate their journeys.

Volar DMS provided AutSupport with a range of logo variations for use across different products. The overall colour palette is both warm and calming. The logo draws out various colours from the leaves. Other branding assets were developed to complement the logo for the website pages and the client’s service offerings.

Volar DMS built 4 pages of AutSupport’s website, customised on the WordPress platform. We provided a layout wire-frame of 3 pages in Figma initially to test with the client along with a draft version of the Home Page created in Canva. These software provided opportunity for real-time feedback before building the website on WordPress. We also provided copy-writing and image curation.

From a design perspective, some of the strategic design strengths include:

  1. User-Friendly Navigation with a straightforward and intuitive structure, making it easy for users to find information about services, contact details, and other resources.

  2. Consistent Branding that helps reinforce brand identity and makes the site visually cohesive.

  3. Responsive Design to work well on various devices.

  4. Visual Hierarchy to help guide users through the content in a logical and engaging manner.

  5. Engaging Imagery to enhance the user experience and convey the supportive and empathetic nature of the services.

  6. Call-to-Action Buttons to encourage user interaction and engagement with the services offered.

  7. Whitespace Utilization to prevent the site from feeling cluttered.

These design elements work together to create a user-friendly and visually appealing website that effectively supports its strategic goals.

“Hannah helped me develop and tighten my business concept. I had a broad idea of what I wanted to do but Hannah helped me to really focus in on what I was offering and what value it will bring to my clients. She also truly listened to what was important to me and helped to build that into the web design ideas and the story I was trying to tell. I love my logo as it really reflects what I want to communicate as the essence of my coaching services. Hannah takes the time to understand you, and works to gently draw out the heart of what you are trying to achieve.”
